Over the years, Arctic Art Week has attracted a diverse group of international artists, creating a vibrant community of creatives who share a deep appreciation for the unique Arctic environment. Many of the works created during previous residencies are still on display at the complex, forming a permanent collection that continues to grow with each passing year.
Can you introduce us to the residency program?
Arctic Art Week is an annual artist residency program organized by Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, in which selected artists live, work and create in the stunning environment of the Arctic Circle. Since its inception in 2011, the sculpture symposium has become a cornerstone of the resort's cultural offerings, providing a space for artists to explore themes deeply connected to the Arctic environment, such as isolation, nature and human connection to extreme landscapes.

We offer accommodation, food, materials, cultural program, partial expense coverage, discounted accommodation for accompanying persons.
